Self piercing rivet or tubular rivet is one piece made of two parts: the cap and the shank (tube) manufactured separately and assembled with special machines. Manufactured from metal ribbon of different materials like iron, brass, stainless steel, and plated in several galvanic finishes also free nickel in the respect of ecosystem, special coating treatments such us total varnishing (popular), top lacquered (vemar), silk-screen printing, and special processing like laser cutting. Available in different cap sizes and several shank (tube) lengths. The application (rivetting) can be made with the aid of hand presses and dies, semi and fully-automatic machines electric power (280-360 vw) or pneumatic (air pressure). For riveting is intended the closure of two component by means of a rivet.
